All stroke lengths must be stated in inches. Fractions of inches may be carried out to three decimal places (to express fractions requiring three decimal places) to express the correct fractional stroke length.

Example:

A stroke length of 14 inches should be entered into the configurator as 14
A stroke length of 14 1/2 inches should be entered into the configurator as 14.5
A stroke length of 14 3/8 inches should be entered into the configurator as 14.375
A stroke length of 1/4 inch should be entered into the configurator as .25
A stroke length of 10 feet should be entered into the configurator as 120

Peninsular cylinders may contain stroke lengths ranging from 1/4 inch up to 15 feet (180 inches) in length in various fractional increments of an inch. Note: our standard stroke length tolerance is ± 1/16" from the stated cylinder stroke.

REMEMBER TO ALWAYS STATE YOUR REQUIRED STROKE LENGTH IN TOTAL INCHES AND / OR FRACTIONS THEREOF.

For stroke lengths over 3 feet you should consider the use of a stop tube !

When a stop tube is required, the stroke length will be stated differently than the stroke length for a cylinder without a stop tube, once the cylinder part number is generated by the configurator:
